Helen Phillips is a Humanist Wedding Celebrant, trained and accredited by Humanists UK since 2021. She creates bespoke wedding ceremonies that are as unique as the couples she works with, placing their love story at the heart of every celebration.
Helen is known for her warmth and ability to make couples feel completely at ease. She takes the time to genuinely get to know each couple, learning what matters most to them and crafting a ceremony that reflects their values, personalities, and journey together.
Her ceremonies strike the perfect balance between fun and heartfelt, often blending just the right amount of romance and humour. A key highlight is the sharing of each couple’s love story, written and delivered with care and authenticity. No two ceremonies are ever the same – from tone and content to rituals and symbolic acts, everything is tailored to the couple’s wishes.
Whether including their personal reflections on love and marriage, involving special guests (even pets!), or helping choose meaningful, symbolic elements or rituals to include, Helen guides couples through the entire process with energy, compassion, and creativity.
Rooted in her Humanist values, Helen is committed to ensuring that every ceremony is welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for all.
As of October 2025, the UK Government has committed to the legal recognition of humanist marriage, however, when exactly this will come into law is, as yet, uncertain. Until there is more clarity on dates, couples need to continue to plan to legally register their marriage separately to that of their Humanist ceremony with Helen who will always happily help couples navigate this process.
